The barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A.”, “PATENT NO. 2,473,878”, “OTHERS PENDING”, and caliber designation, alongside “REP” and cloverleaf proof marks and an “OC 59” date code, indicating manufacture in October 1959. The receiver is marked “Remington” with serial number “285507” and “Gamemaster MODEL 760®”. The rifle is fitted with a “MOUNTAINEER 4X” scope, serial number “-27490”, mounted on “BUEHLER ORINDA, CAL.” rings and base. A worn leather sling is included. The buttplate bears the “Remington” logo.
