A sporterized M96 Swedish Mauser bolt-action rifle, manufactured by Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf A/N in 1899, serial number GR. 20345. The rifle is chambered in 6.5×55 (6.5 Swede) caliber and features a blued steel barrel and receiver. The bolt is bright polished steel, marked with a small crown and “860” on the handle. The rifle is fitted with a light-colored, possibly walnut, sporter-style wooden stock, identified as an MEG Sporter Stock, and a black rubber recoil pad marked “Pachmayr / GUN WORKS / LOS ANGELES, CALIF.”
