A Collection of Vintage Winchester, Federal, and Alcan Shotgun Reloading Wads

A collection of vintage shotgun reloading components, primarily wads, in their original packaging. The lot includes four clear plastic bags of red “WINCHESTER Western AA DOUBLE A RED WADS,” each containing 250 plastic wads. Also present is a larger clear plastic bag of “FEDERAL Champion™ WAD COLUMN 12 GAUGE 9122” clear plastic wads with black bases, accompanied by an instruction sheet. The Federal wads feature patent number 3,285,188, dating to 1966, indicating a mid-to-late 20th-century period. The collection further comprises several yellow cardboard boxes of “WINCHESTER Western Cardboard Wads” (some marked 10 GA., others 12 GA.) and “WINCHESTER Western Universal Cup Wads” (12 GA.). Completing the lot is a larger brown cardboard box of “ALCAN SHOT SHELL WADS” from Alcan Company, Alton, Illinois, with details on “ALCAN One Powder Wads” and “B-type wads.” Many labels also include “Olin” as a division.
