A Pietta Italian Remington Model 1858 .44 Caliber Black Powder Percussion Revolver, a modern reproduction styled after the mid-19th-century design. The revolver features a brass frame and trigger guard, complemented by a blued steel barrel, cylinder, and loading lever. The grip panels are crafted from reddish-brown wood, secured by a single brass escutcheon screw. Visible markings include “BLACK POWDER ONLY 44 CAL.” on the left side of the barrel and “F.LL I.PIETTA – MADE IN ITALY” on the right side, accompanied by Italian proof marks “CIP” and “PN,” indicating suitability for black powder. A date mark “2017” is present on the underside of the barrel, and the serial number “R492175” is stamped on the brass butt strap.
