A Soviet Tula Arsenal SVT-40 Semi-Automatic Rifle, dated 1941. This item is identified by receiver markings as an SVT-40 (Samozyadnaya Vintovka Tokareva, Obrazets 1940 goda) chambered in 7.62x54R. Manufactured in Russia in 1940, it bears a prominent ‘1941’ date with a star within a shield, consistent with a Tula Arsenal mark. An importer mark “C.D.I. SWAN. VT” is present. The rifle features a varnished wooden stock and handguard, paired with blued steel components, including a perforated metal gas tube cover and a detachable box magazine. Serial number “739” appears on the bolt handle and receiver, while the magazine is marked “3124”. A stylized ‘4’ with a star is visible on the buttstock.
