A Remington Model 11 16 Gauge semi-automatic shotgun. This early 20th-century American sporting firearm features a blued steel barrel and receiver, paired with a varnished dark wooden stock and forend, both with checkered grip panels. The barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., ILION, N.Y., MADE IN U.S.A.”, along with various U.S. patent numbers, “16 GA. FOR 2 3/4 OR SHORTER SHELLS.”, and a “FULL” choke designation. Proof marks such as “REP” in an oval are also visible on the barrel. The left side of the receiver is engraved with ducks in flight and marked “Remington”, “REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.”, and serial number “1574543”. The right side of the receiver is marked “MODEL 11”. The buttstock is fitted with a textured rubber buttplate bearing a partially visible “REMINGTON SHOCKLESS” logo.
