Visible markings include “J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY,” “CHICOPEE FALLS. MASS. U.S.A.,” “MARKSMAN,” and “TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.” on the receiver, with “22-LONG RIFLE” stamped on the barrel and the number “226” visible on the underside of the tang.
